Employee Bios

Randy was with Cascade Insurance Center from it’s inception in 1985, and has been a licensed agent in Oregon since 1979. He graduated from Bend High School, so considers himself a Bend native.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and is a past president of the “Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon”.  He was recognized in 2008 as the PIA agent of the year in Oregon, and earned his “Certified Insurance Counselor” designation in 2000.

He handles all lines of insurance, and really enjoys helping clients understand their insurance policies, putting that 30 years of insurance experience to good use.

Tim has been with Cascade Insurance Center since 1996, with a background in human resources at a large retail chain.  He earned his Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2000 and is working toward his Certified Insurance Counselor designation.  Tim is the current President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho.

As personal lines manager, he is responsible for the processes and procedures of quoting, issuing, and servicing our homeowners and automobile policy holders.  Tim enjoys the one on one with customers, and can really help them understand their insurance needs and coverages.

Julie, a Bend native,  started her career in insurance in 2007. She became a licensed Oregon agent in 2008. Specializing in Business Insurance, she has had the opportunity to serve an array of commercial clients in the area.

With a background primarily in customer service, Julie strives to provide an excellent client experience.  She values her clients opinions, questions, and concerns.  She is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure commercial policies and changes are issued correctly. She strongly believes that customer service is the key to gaining/retaining any business.

Leana joined the Cascade Insurance Center team in August of 2008 with 8 years of experience in the health insurance industry working at Lifewise Health Plan of Oregon.

While at Lifewise she had experience in customer service, claims, and billing.  She has applied that work experience to help the customers of Cascade Insurance Center, and says she now has “the best of both worlds”, as she gets to work directly with the consumer and continue in the health insurance field.  Leana got her Oregon insurance license in 2008.

Shanna, a Bend Resident since 1985, was raised in the strawberry filled Willamette Valley and has made many wonderful memories in her twenty-five year working career.

Licensed in 1999, Shanna is a Sales Account Executive and enjoys the “team” concept employed at Cascade Insurance Center.  As a former business owner, her mission is to deliver the message that health insurance can be very affordable to individuals and businesses.  Shanna also offers excellent choice and service on auto, home and business insurance.

Patrick started his own agency in Bend in 1992 after growing up in the Bay area.  He merged his successful business with Cascade Insurance Center in 2007 to be able to better serve his customers.  He is extensively involved in the health insurance industry, serving on advisory committees for multiple health insurance companies.

Patrick is past president of the local chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as the National Association of Health Underwriters. He was also honored as Health Insurance Agent of the Year by the NAIFA.  At Cascade Insurance Center, Patrick manages the Health and Benefits side of the agency, as well as consulting with new and existing customers everyday.  Read More>>

 

Lura started in the insurance business in 1977 in Redmond, and received her agents license in 1984.

Prior to joining the team at Cascade Insurance Center in 1999, she worked for an independent agency in Redmond and a local Farmers insurance agency.  She received her “Certified Insurance Service Representative” designation in 1987. 

Lura specializes in personal lines insurance such as auto, home, renters, and watercraft coverage, and enjoys helping customers with all their personal insurance needs.

Nate grew up in Eugene, but has lived in Bend since 2005.  You can see that Bend is perfect for Nate, as he enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, and hiking with his dogs.

 

A welcome addition to our staff, Nate has a background in retail sales, and has had his insurance license for over 3 years.

Kendyl started her insurance career in The Dalles in 1998 and got her Oregon insurance license in 1999.  She has experience in personal lines, commercial lines, and farm/ranch coverages.  She earned her “Certified Insurance Counselor” designation in 2004.

Kendyl has lived in Bend since 2004, and has been part of the Cascade Insurance Center team since 2005.  She is an important part of the commercial lines team, as she helps business clients with new policies and makes sure all renewals and changes are processed correctly.

Terisa has been with Cascade Insurance Center for over 15 years.  She started out as the afternoon receptionist, but with her dedication, knowledge, and work ethic, she has worked her way up to Office Manager.

Terisa is an important part of the team, and enjoys the mechanics of managing an office, from bookkeeping to ordering the office supplies.  “Everyday has a structure but also has some very interesting challenges that keep me on my toes.”

Deb has been with Cascade Insurance Center since April 2010, and comes to us from the banking industry.  Deb is a native Oregonian and has lived in Bend since 1982.

The insurance business is quite different from banking, but Deb looks forward to the challenges that her new career is taking.  As the receptionist, CUSTOMER SERVICE is #1 with her and the customer always comes first!
